ScanClinic is a private preventative diagnostics centre in Houten near Utrecht, selling full-body MRI scans that need no doctor's referral.

Three MRI packages are priced on the site: MRI Essential at EUR 1,200, MRI Advanced at EUR 1,400 and MRI Supreme at EUR 1,650, the last adding lab work, an ECG (a recording of the heart's electrical activity), an echocardiogram, an exercise test and a cardiologist consultation. Results are discussed in person right after the scan.

Above these sits Platinum Health at EUR 3,950, a full-day programme the clinic says spans 500-plus biomarkers across 25-plus tests: full-body MRI, BrainAge brain-ageing analysis, body composition, liver scanning, AI-read heart ultrasound, breath-gas exercise testing, polygenic risk scores (risk estimates built from thousands of genetic variants), microbiome analysis and eye, hearing and lung checks. It currently runs a waiting list.

Standalone items include VO2 max testing from EUR 295, body-composition MRI from EUR 699, a Cardio Complete heart check at EUR 700 and microbiome analysis at EUR 625.

The clinic says every MRI is read independently by two radiologists, that its specialists and nurses are BIG-registered on the Dutch statutory healthcare register, and that it holds ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certification. A second site operates in Etten-Leur, and insurers usually do not reimburse the cost.
