Cenegenics - Chicago

Cenegenics Chicago is a membership practice at 77 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 4500, in downtown Chicago. Its own page says the centre serves the greater Chicago area along with Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, Glencoe and Naperville.

Bhavesh Patel, MD, is the named centre physician. Cenegenics says he started the Chicago practice, has more than 17 years of clinical experience, took his medical degree at Rush University and trained at UIC/Illinois Masonic. Two other staff are listed: Nathan Brown, MS, a performance health coach, and Olivia Mazzella DiBosco, who handles member experience.

Every Cenegenics centre runs the same core round of biomarker testing, then lists its own extras. Chicago names three that the sister centre in Cleveland does not:

• Advanced CCTA, a CT scan of the arteries feeding the heart, read by a software platform called Cleerly
• CIMT, an ultrasound that measures how thick the wall of the neck artery has become
• Brain EEG (WAVi), a recording of the brain's electrical activity

The rest of the Chicago menu covers hormone replacement therapy, VO2 max testing (the most oxygen your body can use while exercising hard), DEXA body composition scanning (a low-dose X-ray that separates fat, muscle and bone), genetic, nutrigenomic and micronutrient testing, cardiovascular screening and exercise physiology testing.

Prices appear nowhere on the site. The advertised way in is a free 10-minute phone consultation, and parking at the centre is free.
