Prescan

Prescan runs a private preventative screening clinic in Baarn, in the central Netherlands, selling one-day examination programmes to people who have no symptoms and book directly at published prices, without a referral.

The core offering is three bodyscan tiers built on MRI - magnetic resonance imaging, which uses magnets rather than X-rays - covering brain, neck vessels, chest and abdomen. Prescan Core is EUR 1,349, Prescan Pro at EUR 1,899 adds cardiology and blood work, and Prescan Elite is EUR 3,149, adding an MRI body composition scan, a wider laboratory panel, a skin check and follow-up consultations with a radiologist, a cardiologist, a lifestyle physician and a dermatologist.

Smaller items are sold on their own:

• single-region MRI scans from EUR 529
• cardiac checks with ECG (a heart trace), heart ultrasound and a bicycle exercise test from EUR 799
• blood and urine panels from EUR 89
• a dermatology mole check at EUR 299

A women's health programme adds a gynaecological examination with ultrasound. Scan and cardiology results are discussed on the day; laboratory results follow within ten working days.

The clinic holds the ZKN mark, the Dutch quality certification for independent clinics, and Prescan also runs a clinic in Ahaus, Germany, plus an employer scheme for staff screening.
