Cold Plunge Therapy Clinics

Brief immersion in water at 3-15°C, used for mood, recovery, and cardiovascular adaptation.

About Cold Plunge Therapy

Cold-water immersion at temperatures around 10°C for 2 to 5 minutes triggers norepinephrine release, brown-adipose-tissue activation, and (over time) cardiovascular adaptations. Mood and alertness effects are reliable; the metabolic and longevity claims are softer. Cold immersion immediately after resistance training blunts the muscle-protein synthesis signal, so timing relative to workouts matters.
